Painting Portraits in Oils with Cordell Garfield (Saturday 23 November)
Cordell’s popular Introduction to Portrait Painting in Oils workshop is a workshop designed to help students paint a portrait in oils. Students will be able to achieve a realistic portrait through focusing on the key components of facial proportions, tonal value and form. Creating a portrait from a photograph, and following a step-by-step process, Cordell’s workshop will provide advice, demonstrations and guidance on painting a portrait from a reference photograph.

The workshop is perfect for both beginners and painters with some experience.

A reference photo of a portrait can be brought along to use as a subject, but this must be A4 size and the portrait well lit with good definition on features
