Workshop terms and conditions

We recommend you read this policy before booking a painting workshop with Cordell Garfield.

Course/timings

10am to 4pm each day. There will be a 15-minute break in the morning and afternoon, if required, as well as 45 minutes for lunch.

Tuition fees

All course prices include VAT. Course prices are stated in the individual course details and will include a fee, where stated, for a) most materials supplied by Cordell for an additional materials fee or b) student to bring own materials.

Payment

No course can be reserved until payment is received. In the unlikely event that you cannot book through the website, do contact Cordell via email to book, or over the phone.

Cancellation

For course bookings in 2024, the following time frame for refunds will apply:

At least 2 weeks prior to the start date – full refund minus 3% administration charge.

Within 2 weeks of the start date – if Cordell can fill your space, he will happily offer you a full refund minus 3% admin charge. If not, you may transfer to another course (free of charge) or accept a 50% refund.

If Covid (or other Government) restrictions at the time cause your course to be cancelled, you will of course receive a full refund.

Cordell Garfield reserves the right to cancel or change course dates if the necessity arises. If a course is cancelled, you may transfer to another course in the same year if a place is available or a refund will be given. Cordell Garfield reserves the right to change any aspect of these terms and conditions in the event of a force majeure.

You should consider taking out your own cancellation insurance, particularly if you are travelling from a distance and booking your own accommodation.

Full courses

If the course you'd like to attend is fully booked, just click the link to add your name to the waiting list. If a space becomes available you will be contacted.

Food/drink

Your tuition fee does not include any food or refreshments.

Course requirement lists

A course requirements list will be sent to you near to the course start, or through contact with Cordell, giving details of any additional items you will need to bring.

Age

All courses are for participants over 18. Under 18s may be allowed to attend at Cordell’s discretion, if they are accompanied by another paying adult who takes responsibility for them. You should contact Cordell to discuss this before booking a place.

Accessibility

If you haven’t been before, we recommend you contact Cordell for specific details of each venue.

Foreign language students

Are very welcome but must have a good knowledge of English to enable them to participate fully in the course.

Data and marketing

By enrolling on a workshop, you have the option to sign up to join Cordell’s email mailing list, through which we can keep you up to date on all the latest news and courses. 

Receipts

When booking through the website, you will receive a receipt by email. You should keep this for your records. If you book directly with Cordell and require a VAT receipt, just ask.

Disclaimer

Your possessions are brought on site at your own risk and all vehicles are parked at your own risk. No smoking is allowed and no dogs or other animals are permitted on site. No children or non-participating adults will be permitted to attend the courses.


To the best of our knowledge, all information given on this website is correct. However, However, Cordell Garfield reserves the right to correct or amend any aspect of the courses in the event of circumstances where such changes are deemed to be necessary or appropriate.
